Real Estate Attorney (5+ Years Experience)

Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000 Base Salary + Bonus Eligibility

Our client, a highly regarded national law firm with a significant real estate practice, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated commercial real estate transactions while enjoying substantial client interaction, direct responsibility, and long-term career growth.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative legal team advising clients across a broad range of complex real estate matters and transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Handle acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets
  • Represent clients in real estate financing transactions
  • Conduct and oversee real estate due diligence processes
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial lease agreements
  • Advise clients on real estate development projects
  • Structure and negotiate joint venture transactions
  • Manage transactions through all phases, from initial negotiations through closing
  • Provide strategic legal counsel and maintain direct client relationships

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active Illinois bar admission and in good standing
  • 5+ years of substantive commercial real estate experience
  • Experience handling complex real estate transactions independently
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Client-focused mindset with strong business judgment
